Fueling Hope for Utah Families

Thanks for standing with us against childhood hunger

This past year once again demonstrated the extraordinary power of a community united for children. While the USANA Foundation supports families globally through sustainable Garden Towers, USANA Kids Eat remains especially close to our hearts because it connects us so personally with you: our volunteers, supporters, Brand Partners, staff, and families. Your generosity, time, and compassion are the heartbeat of this program.

What began as a simple commitment to ensure no child goes hungry has grown into a movement grounded in teamwork, dignity, and hope. Because of you, students across the Salt Lake Valley arrive at school with full stomachs, clearer minds, and the confidence to learn.

Schools report improved attendance, behavior, and academic outcomes, but the greatest impact is the reassurance each child feels knowing they can count on a weekend or holiday food bag.

One of the most meaningful moments of the year was packing 3,000 emergency food bags for families affected by the government shutdown and SNAP delays. Your swift support made this response possible, and serving alongside fellow food banks and community partners was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together.

Whether you packed bags, delivered food, sponsored a school, or gave quietly and consistently, every act of kindness strengthened this program. You have made USANA Kids Eat more than a service: you’ve made it a symbol of what generosity can achieve.

We do this for the kids, because no child should ever go hungry. Thank you for showing what love in action looks like and for helping build a brighter, more nourished future for families across our community.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The USANA Foundation Team

Our Mission

We believe childhood hunger is unacceptable. At USANA Kids Eat, we’re dedicated to empowering children in need right here in the community where USANA Health Sciences is headquartered.

Through powerful partnerships and collective action, we provide a stable source of food that helps kids unlock their full potential and instills hope for a brighter future. Each meal we deliver eases the burden on struggling families and ensures children receive the nutrition they need to thrive in school, chase their dreams, and experience the joys of childhood.

We serve because no child should ever go hungry.

Donation Guarantee

Weekend Bag Program

For many children, school meals are a lifeline. When those meals are unavailable on weekends, many kids are left at risk of going hungry. A single bag of food offers nourishment and comfort during those critical days away from school.

Look for the Helpers

USANA Kids Eat contributes to relief efforts

Our Weekend Program is funded by adoptive sponsors and our Holiday Bag Project by participating volunteers, but general donations throughout the year let us respond quickly to urgent needs. This year, your support helped us act beyond our regular programs, providing relief in moments of crisis.

When catastrophic fires struck California in early 2025, our partner Children’s Hunger Fund was close to the devastation, many facing damage to their own homes while working tirelessly for displaced families. Thanks to our donors, we responded immediately.

Supporting Kids Through Summer Break

“What happens to the kids during summer break?” At the end of May each year, we deliver pallets of weekend bags to our partner school districts so they can keep supporting students all summer. Each district runs a free lunch program, and our bags go home every Friday, just as they do during the school year.

The delivery method may change, but the support does not.

Impact stories

Educators See the Difference

The weekend bag program gives children reliable meals they can count on, helping them stay focused, confident, and ready to learn.

One of the most touching experiences this year was a newly arrived family from Mexico who came to school with absolutely nothing. After providing essentials and explaining that they could always access our food bags, the mother sent a video of her children cheering with joy, especially over the Ramen noodles. It meant everything to them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting our school. Your help means the world to us.

Jessy TingeryMountain Shadows Elementary
A student heads home with a USANA Kids Eat bag

Our students who participate in the USANA Kids Eat program are always so grateful. One student proudly told me about the cookies he makes using the applesauce from the bags, his own recipe. Another student has a father who recently became disabled and cannot walk. On weekends, he cooks for his younger siblings using items from the food bags. He feels proud, capable, and valued because he can help his family.

One student I think of often is currently experiencing homelessness. She and her family live out of two cars in a park, without access to a kitchen or permanent housing. For them, these bags are a lifeline. Because much of the food doesn’t require heating, they can eat no matter where they are. The relief these weekend bags provide is immeasurable.

Community in action

Stories from Our Supporters

USANA Kids Eat shapes not only the children we serve, but also the families, volunteers, and partners who make it possible.

Last month, my daughter was working on her college admission essays. Without telling me, she chose to write about her experience volunteering with USANA Kids Eat. I was so moved when I discovered it. Beyond supporting the community, USANA Kids Eat has given my children the opportunity to see needs that exist right around them, and to learn how to give love and service where it’s needed most.

I began volunteering with USANA Kids Eat several years ago and am now a permanent volunteer. Knowing this work provides a safety net for our most vulnerable population, our children, means everything to me. Being able to do one small thing to serve, and seeing the difference it makes, is incredibly fulfilling and heartwarming. Thank you, USANA.

We are proud to partner with USANA Kids Eat to help provide safe, reliable food for children in need. 2025 Adoptive Sponsors

Adoptive sponsors are more than donors: they are partners in creating hope. By adopting schools, they made sure kids received reliable weekend meals all year, and many joined us for hands-on service. Because USANA covers all operational costs, every effort goes straight to kids.
