USANA Kids Eat 2025 Annual Report: Fighting Child Hunger Across the Wasatch Front

2025 Impact in Action—and the Next Step Toward Feeding 20,000 Families

In 2025, the USANA Foundation community proved—again—that when people show up with compassion and consistency, lives change. Through USANA Kids Eat, thousands of children across Utah had the peace of mind that comes with reliable food outside of school hours. And when unexpected crises hit, supporters responded quickly—turning generosity into immediate relief.

This year’s annual report captures a simple truth: hunger doesn’t wait. But neither does a community that cares.

A Year of Reliable Support for Kids and Families

For many students, school meals are a lifeline. Weekends, holidays, and summer breaks can create stressful gaps for families already doing everything they can. USANA Kids Eat exists to meet that need with dignity—providing take-home food packs so children can return to school ready to learn, play, and grow.

In 2025 alone, USANA Kids Eat delivered:

  • 546,526 meals provided
  • 14,413 supported children
  • 4,119 volunteers involved
  • 12,148 volunteer hours
  • 112 schools, clubs, and community groups supported

That’s not just scale—it’s stability for families who need it most.

And thanks to USANA Health Sciences covering all administrative costs, 100% of donations go directly to food and distribution—maximizing every gift’s impact.

Meeting the Moment When Families Needed Help Most

Beyond our core weekend and holiday programs, general donations allowed USANA Kids Eat to respond to urgent, time-sensitive needs throughout the year.

California Fire Response
When catastrophic fires disrupted families and communities, USANA Kids Eat sent 2,600 weekend bags (20 pallets) and provided a $5,000 grant to support 688 emergency Food Paks, equaling 16,667 meals for families in crisis.

Filling SNAP Benefit Gaps
When SNAP delays and the federal shutdown created sudden food insecurity, the program mobilized quickly—purchasing $30,000 in food and packing 3,000 emergency bags for families experiencing hardship. Community partners and volunteers joined forces, and the effort drew major local media attention—helping raise awareness of the needs happening close to home.

The Stories Behind the Numbers

Numbers matter. But what stays with us most are the stories of children and families who feel seen and supported.

Educators described students who proudly cook for siblings using items from their food bags. They shared stories of families living without a kitchen—where shelf-stable food isn’t just helpful, it’s essential. They told us how a newly arrived family, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn, found relief when they learned they could count on meals each week.

Supporters also shared how service reshaped their families—teaching children compassion, helping volunteers find purpose, and giving sponsors a tangible way to invest in the well-being of their own community.

This is what impact looks like: food, yes—but also dignity, belonging, and hope.

Looking Ahead: The 20,000 Families Goal

In 2025, we served 14,413 children through USANA Kids Eat. That impact is profound—and it’s also a reminder of what’s still needed.

Now, we’re looking forward with urgency and optimism: our goal is to help feed 20,000 families.

Reaching that goal will take the same elements that made 2025 possible:

  • committed donors who give consistently
  • sponsors who adopt schools and build long-term partnerships
  • volunteers who show up month after month
  • community partners willing to act quickly when families face hardship

If you’ve supported this work before, thank you. If you’re learning about it for the first time, there’s a place for you here—and a family who will feel the difference.
